Sausage Stars

1 pkg. won ton wrappers (in the vegetable case)
Or 1 package egg roll wrappers, cut into quarters
    Vegetable oil
1 lb sausage
3 cups pre-grated mixed cheese (fiesta blend)
1 cup (8 oz) prepared Hidden Valley Ranch Original Ranch Dip Mix
1 can (2.25 oz) sliced olives, diced finely
1/2 red pepper, diced finely

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Put the wrappers you are not going to immediately use in plastic wrap to stop the wrappers from drying out. Lightly coat the wrapper in oil and fold into a cup in a mini muffin tin. Use your fingers to open and fold the wrapper to keep it as open as possible. Bake for 5+ minutes until the cups are lightly golden. Remove and place on a baking sheet.

Cook the sausage and then crumble into small pieces. (I use a pastry cutter) Drain the sausage well.
In a large bowl mix the Ranch Dip together, add the Olives and Red Peppers. Then add the Cheese and the Sausage. (I add garlic powder, cayenne, and salt to the Ranch per my taste and who will be eating it)

Fill the baked cups with the sausage mixture.  Bake 5 minutes plus until bubbly.

Makes 4-5 dozen

Don’t use block cheese - it makes the sausage stars way too gooey.
These will go quickly, so I usually make double.
